Richard Allen Fear, age 82, of Foley, AL, formerly of Montpelier, IN.  passed away with his family by his side at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at his home in Foley, AL.  He was born on Friday, March 19, 1943, in Montpelier, IN. to the late Banks D. and Helen M. (Michael) Fear. Richard was a 1962 graduate of Montpelier High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1965-1967. Richard was a skilled electrician and had been a local IBEW LU 855 member since November 1, 1970, serving for 55 years.  His work took him to several different states. He enjoyed guns and shooting artillery, knives, watching movies and cartoons, working on his 81' Chevy, was known for harassing others through town, and most of all loved spending time with his family.

Richard will be forever missed by his daughter, Jeana Dillon, Foley, AL, his grandchildren who called him Paw Paw Pooh Bear, Cierra Dillon, Chris Dillon, Cassidy Dillon Davis, Cody Dillon, his great grandchildren who called him Pop Pop, Jax & Jenny Lynn Moore, Nicholas (Nico) Dillon, and Carsyn Jean Davis, and several other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Banks D. Fear, mother, Helen M. (Michael) Fear, and brother, Paul E. Fear.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home located at 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00PM.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will follow visitation with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Heart Association
