Robert P. Dalton Sr., 89, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 8:57 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at his home in Montpelier, IN.  He was born on Sunday, July 15, 1934, in Lime City, OH.  He married Vera May (Pallant) Dalton on Friday, November 16, 1956 in Ruislip, England.  Bob was a graduate of Chester Center High School, Wells Co., IN. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Bob worked for the Railroad station in Montpelier, IN., Sheller Globe, Montpelier, IN., and for Corning, Bluffton, IN. He was a member of the Millard Brown American Legion Post # 156. Bob enjoyed watching sports, taking rides, and above all spending time with his family, especially his grandsons and great grandchildren.

Bob will be sadly missed by his Son - Marvin (Marilyn) Dalton, Montpelier, IN, Son - Robert Dalton, Jr., Montpelier, IN, Grandsons - Michael (Emily) Dalton, Fishers, IN, Marcus (Jordan) Dalton, Indianapolis, IN, Great Grandchildren – Chloe, Miles, and Hudson Dalton all of Fishers, IN, Brother - Olan M. Dalton, Fort Wayne, IN, and Sister - Nancy Smith, Indianapolis, IN.

He was preceded in death by his Wife - Vera May (Pallant) Dalton, Father - Michael P. Dalton, Mother - Celia D. (Donaldosn) Dalton, and Sister - Shirley Hiner.

Per Bob's wishes there will be no viewing or services. A private burial will be held at a later date at Brookside Memorial Park, Montpelier, IN.
