Roy L. Wells, 70, of rural Hartford City, IN, Washington Twp. passed away at 5:30 PM on Monday, July 15, 2024, at his home in Hartford City after a short illness. He was born on Thursday, September 24, 1953, in Marion, IN. He married Susan L. Cook in 1990, in Decatur, IN. Roy was a 1971 graduate of Blackford High School. At 17 years of age, he started working for Mallibu Iron, Marion, IN. He worked for RCA in Marion for 15 years and then retired from Operator Engineers after 20 years of service. He was a self-trained man who started from the ground up, running heavy equipment and soon became an asphalt plant manager for Reith Riley in Fort Wayne. Roy pursued his love of farming until his death.

Roy will be sadly missed by his Wife - Susan L. (Cook) Wells, Hartford City, IN, Son - Nick Lee Wells,
Grandson - Conner Wells, Sisters - Dorothy Wells, Hartford City, IN, Carmen (Dave) Durm, Indianapolis, IN, Brothers - Thomas H. Wells, Hartford City, IN, Marion Wells Jr., Hartford City, IN, Nieces - Ena & Erin, and Nephews - Alan, Adam, & Aric.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Marion Wells, Mother - Anneliese (Hengen) Wells, Sister - Sandy Wells, and Brother - Robert Wells.

Per Roy's wishes there will be no viewing or services.
