Ruth E. Rogers, 92, a lifetime resident of Pennville, IN, passed away at 10:30 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at The Waters of Dunkirk in Dunkirk, IN.  She was born on Monday, August 3, 1931, to Virgil & Goldia (Melick) Oswalt in Jay County, IN. She married Clyde "Bus" F. Rogers on Friday, August 5, 1955, in Pennville. Ruth was a 1949 graduate of Pennville High school. She was a member of Redkey Christian Church and Rebecca Lodge. Ruth had worked at McCarty & Bowman Grocery Store, Ludwigs, and Adair's. She enjoyed reading, riding her bicycle, and doing word search puzzles.

Loving survivors include her daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Cash, Pendleton, IN, son, Jeff (Phoebe) Rogers, Pottstown, PA, son, John Rogers, Portland, IN, daughter, Donna (Keith) Skinner, Hartford City, IN, son, Jamie Rogers, Petroleum, IN, 10 grandchildren, Amber (Andy) Hoover - Fishers, IN, Justin (Julie) Cash - Indianapolis, IN, Jared (Nicole) Rogers - Pottstown, PA, Joshua (Lea) Rogers - Elma, NY, Brittanie Dailey - Portland, IN, Bridgett (Kyle) Coleman - Lafontain, IN, Kenci (Chris) Grayson - Dunkirk, IN, Skylar Scharrer - Hartford City, IN, Caleb (Wyntina) Scharrer - Dillsboro, IN, Mason Rogers - Berne, IN, 24 great grandchildren, and half-brother, Phillip Oswalt and half-sister, Carol Reed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, Sherri Rogers, siblings, Sally DuBois, Cecil "Bud' Oswalt, Dorwin Oswalt, Francis Medler, Shirley Bole, Wilford Oswalt, and Virgil Oswalt.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A service to celebrate Ruth's life will follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, with Pastor Jeff Hammers officiating.  The burial will follow in the Pennville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
