Stephen "John" Major, 63, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 6:38 AM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home in Montpelier, IN.  He was born on Saturday, May 17, 1958, in Los Angeles, CA. John was a 1976 graduate of Blackford High School. He served in the National Guard. He had worked at BRC, Montpelier, IN. for 18 years and at Stanley Black & Decker for 3 years. He was a member of the Bro Shadow Club. John enjoyed Nascar racing and spending time with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his Wife - Rose  Schlotter James, Montpelier, IN, Son - John C. (Diana) Major, Warren, IN, Daughter - Cassie Marie (Lee) Major, Ft. Wayne, IN, Granddaughter - Izabella Major, Ft. Wayne, IN, 4 Step Children, 8  Step Grandchildren,  Step Father - George Nibarger, Montpelier, IN, Sister - Carol Grass, MO, Brother - David (Cindy) Nibarger, MO, Sister - Desra (Rikki) Rhodes, MO, and Brother - Tyson Nibarger, Roanoke, IN.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Steven Major, Mother - Shirley (Deeth) Nibarger, and Sister - Barbara Major.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. 47359 on Saturday, March 5, 2022  from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Bob Bartrum officiating.
