Samuel J. Eicher, 76, of rural Berne, IN, passed away at 2:20 PM on Friday, March 1, 2024 at his residence in Berne, IN.  He was born on Tuesday, April 29, 1947, in Berne, IN. Samuel was a farmer & carpenter. He was of the Old Order Amish Church.

Survivors include his Wife - Edith (Schwartz) Eicher, Berne, IN, Sons - Nathan (Caroline) Eicher, Campbellsburg, KY, Sam (Rosie) Eicher, Berne, IN, Jake (Margaret) Eicher, Celina, OH, Ben (Lovina) Eicher, Pekin, IN, Reuben (Lizzie) Eicher, Salem, IN, Joseph (Maryann) Eicher, Owingsville, KY, Daughters - Edith (Samuel E.) Schwartz, Geneva, IN, Ann (Philip M.) Schwartz, Bryant, IN, Mary (Paul M.K.) Eicher, Bryant, IN, Lucy (James M.) Schwartz, Berne, IN, Sisters - Mary (Reuben) Schwartz, Monroe, IN, Naomi (Pete) Neuenschwander, Geneva, IN, 110 Grandchildren, and 53 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Joe E. Eicher, Mother - Elizabeth (Girod) Eicher, Sisters - Lizzie Schwartz, Margaret Schwartz, Frances Bradenberger, Ann Schwartz, Emm Schwartz, Josephine Schwartz, Brothers - Joseph Eicher, Jake Eicher, Ben Eicher, and1 Great Grandchild.

Visitation will be held at the Samuel J. Eicher residence located at 3659 E. St. Rd. 218 Berne on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2024.

A Funeral Service will be at the Samuel J. Eicher residence at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 with Bishop Daniel A. Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Creek Amish Cemetery in Berne.
