Simon R. Girod, age 23, of Bryant, IN, passed away at 11:18 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on State Road 67 and 550 East in Bryant. He was born on Monday, September 9, 2002, in Bryant, IN.  Simon was of the Old Order Amish Church.

Survivors include his parents, Menno C. and Rosie N. (Troyer) Girod, Bryant, IN, siblings, Matthew R. (Emma) Girod, Menno R. Girod, Jr., Esther R. Girod, Elizabeth R. Girod, Rosie R. Girod, Benjamin R. Girod, Neil R. Girod, William R. Girod, Suzann R. Girod, Sylvia R. Girod, and Barbara R. Girod, all of Bryant, IN, paternal grandparents, Banjamin M. & Esther Girod, Berne, IN, and maternal grandparents, Neil E. & Elizabeth Troyer, Geneva, IN.

Visitation will be held at the Girod residence located at 8150 N. 250 E. Bryant on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at the Girod residence at 9:00 AM on Monday, February 9, 2026 with Bishop William L. Christner officiating. Interment will follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery in Bryant.
