Stephen W. Briles, 81, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 1:06 AM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at VA Northern Indiana Health Care System-Marion Campus in Marion, IN.  He was born on Thursday, December 24, 1942, in Hartford City, IN.  He married Linda D. (Dawson) Briles on Saturday, July 10, 1971 in Hartford City, IN. Steve was a 1961 graduate of Roll High School. He formerly attended Roll United Methodist Church. Steve had spent his early years in Roll. He served his country in the US Air Force. He worked at Franklin Electric, Bluffton, Bathy, Hartford City, Warner Gear, Muncie, and retired from Ag Best and Gripco, Montpelier. He was a member of the Amvets and American Legion. Steve enjoyed cruising in the country, fishing, camping, and canoeing. He loved his dogs, Patty, Gunzel, Bailey, Bonzi, and Max.

Steve will be sadly missed by his Wife - Linda D. (Dawson) Briles, Daughter - Ann M. (Brian) Brady, Son - Erick D. Briles, Daughter - Misty D. (Todd) Taylor, Son - Aaron S. (Cearstin) Briles, Brother-in-law - Bob Herring, Sisters - Rita Moore, Beth Bennett, Grandchildren - Zachary (Coni) Brady, Trey (Mia) Storer, Avery Briles, Jacob (Ashley) Brady, Matthew (Nikki) Briles, Luke Brady, Evan Briles, Langdon Briles, Kinzlee Briles, Cooper Briles, and several Great Grandchildren & Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Glen Briles, Mother - Beatrice Marie (Stephenson) Briles, Brother - John Briles, Sister - Beverly Herring, Brother - Bill Briles, and Sister - Joann Conner.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A service to celebrate Steve's life will follow at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2024 with Tyler Moore officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by the US Air Force. Inurnment will be in the Marion National Cemetery.
