Steven L. Tumbleson, 64 of Warren, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Steve was born on May 3, 1960, in Huntington County to Gene E. and Jo Ann (Buzzard) Tumbleson. He graduated from Huntington North High School in 1978, and continued on to Ball State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Education in 1981 and his Masters of Arts in Industrial Technology in 1984. Steve married Nancy Ruble on August 19, 1979, at the Central Christian Church in Huntington.

Steve taught for Fort Wayne Community Schools, Whitko Community Schools, South Adams Community Schools and Ivy Tech State College in Fort Wayne. Throughout the years he worked in his family farm operation, MTM Machine and Tool in Huntington, Biomet in Warsaw, and PHD in Huntington. Steve also owned and operated his own custom machining home business, Metalcraft LLC.

Steve enjoyed traveling, fishing, classic rock, playing guitar, machining, restoring vehicles, participating in car shows, off roading in his Willys Jeep truck and sand rail, as well as traveling the country on his motorcycle. Steve was a creative man, who was always generous with his wealth of knowledge in skilled trades and eager to pass it on to the next generation. He was a helper, someone who made time for others, and never met a challenge he couldn't conquer.  Steve was a great mentor to family, friends, and former students, those who will never forget the knowledge shared, or how encouraging and inspiring their time was together.

Many days and nights he could be found in his shop, his happy place. However, nothing on this Earth could make him happier than the time spent with his family. He loved every minute spent with his grandkids, making memories that his family will cherish forever.

Loving survivors include his wife of 44 years, Nancy Tumbleson of Warren, IN, daughter, Mandy (Bill) Russo, grandchildren Ruby and Violet, of Noblesville, IN, daughter, Stephanie (Eddie) Wielosinski, grandchildren Leah and Owen, of Fort Wayne, IN, and son Eric (Breanna) Tumbleson, grandchildren Kraiger and Lane of Roanoke, IN.  As well as his sister, Susie (Doug) Chapin of Huntington, IN. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Gene & Jo Ann Tumbleson, and his sister Sherry Tumbleson.
