Steven E. Hartley, 66, of Warren, IN, passed away at 8:04 PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at his residence in Warren, IN. He was born on Wednesday, June 29, 1960, in Marion, IN.

Steven graduated from Marion High School in 1978. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was an auto mechanic and worked at the Shirt Shed in Wabash. He built traditional bows and enjoyed all kinds of vehicles, fishing, and hunting. He volunteered for 24 years at the Ducktail Run in Gas City.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie L. Hartley, Warren, IN; mother, Mary Hartley, Marion, IN; daughter, Lacie Hartley, Fairmount, IN; son, Casey Dyer, Jonesboro, IN; son, Lance (Misty) Parker, Dunkirk, IN; daughter, Jessica (Dwight) Lake, Hartford City, IN; sister, Linda Chandler, Marion, IN; brother, Shawn Hartley, Geneva, IN; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Hartley, and son, Dustin Hartley.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, IN, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. There will be no funeral service.

Preferred memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
