Sylvia K. Schwartz, age 89, of rural Berne, IN, passed away at 2:08 PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at her home. She was born on Sunday, December 29, 1935, in Berne, IN.  Sylvia married Enos D.J.  Schwartz on Tuesday, March 25, 1958 in Adams Co.; he preceded her in death on September 12, 2003.  Sylvia was of the Old Order Amish Church.

Survivors include her children - Sylvia (Joe) Schwartz, Berne, IN, Joe E.S. (Liz) Schwartz, Monroe, IN, Enos E.S. (Wilma) Schwartz, Berne, IN, Dehlia (Ben) Wengerd, Willshire, OH, Levi E.S. (Emily) Schwartz, Berne, IN, Andy E.SA. (Melinda) Schwartz, Berne, IN, Jake E.S. Schwartz, Berne, IN, John E.S Schwartz, Berne, IN, Barb K. Schwartz, Berne, IN, 58 grandchildren, 116 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband - Enos D.J. Schwartz, father - Sam K. Schwartz, mother - Sylvia E. (Springer) Schwartz, and son - Sam E.S. Schwartz.

Visitation will be held at the Schwartz residence located at 5391 S. 525 E. Berne on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Schwartz residence on Friday, October 3, 2025.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Schwartz residence at 8:30 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 with Bishop Daniel T. Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow in the Amish Blue Creek Cemetery in Berne.

Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
